Dear Curtis Creek Families, Parents, Students and Staff, 

The tragic school shooting that occurred at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas yesterday is devastating. Our hearts go out to the families, teachers, staff, and school community that experienced this horrific event. In the wake of such an event, it is important to be attentive to the needs of our students. Events like the one that happened in Uvalde can have a longstanding impact. Our staff was on hand today (and will be every day) to support any students who may be feeling unsure or scared. Resources are linked below for you as you have discussions with your children.

Safety is always our focus and priority.  Each year, our safety plan is updated and is available on our website.  In addition, safety drills are practiced throughout the year which include lockdown drills for threats such as the one experienced in Texas.  We would welcome any questions that you may have about our safety plans and our continued support for our students moving into the future. Please know that we are here to support our school community and we remain committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for our students.
