Curtis Creek School District Staff Retirements
The Curtis Creek School District would like to congratulate Mrs. Liz Miller and Mrs. Vicki Kelley on their recent retirements.  Mrs. Miller has been with the district for 23 years and Mrs. Kelley for 24 years. Their kindness, professionalism, and years of dedication to the students and staff at Curtis Creek School is greatly appreciated. They will surely be missed. Congratulations ladies and best wishes always!

2017-2018 Employees Who Make a Difference
Congratulations to Mrs. Autumn Herrera and Mrs. Christy Davis who were selected as 2017-2018 Employees Who Make a Difference.

Autumn Herrera has been a Curtis Creek parent for over 14 years as her four beautiful, successful children have all attended Curtis Creek. She has been a substitute Paraprofessional for years, is now a permanent Paraprofessional, has coached, and she is now also a Bus Driver. If this was not enough on her plate, she is also Curtis Creek's Athletic Director. When Bill Vonich vacated the Athletic Director position several years ago, it was a huge void to fill. Autumn seized that position along with all of the responsibilities, and is doing an outstanding job. She's organized, tends to details, and is a positive role model for all.

Christy Davis has also been a Curtis Creek parent for over 8 years, and a substitute aide, and now a permanent Paraprofessional. She has excellent skills working with the students. She knows how to guide them when they need direction, always coupled with patience and a smile. She has accepted some challenging tasks with a fantastic "Sure, let's try it!" attitude. Christy is also a positive role model for both staff and students.

Congratulations ladies!

2018 Excellence in Teaching Award
The Curtis Creek School District congratulates Mrs. Holly Azevedo as this year's recipient of the TCSOS 2018 Excellence in Teaching Award.

Holly is an extremely dynamic and effective teacher.  She is positive, friendly, enthusiastic, creative, strong leader, innovative, and humble. She has been teaching for over 24 years, 18 of those years at Curtis Creek.  Holly is not afraid of change and is a teacher leader in implementing innovative teaching strategies and technological tools in her classroom.  On any day you will find her students engaged in hands-on activities through applied learning and practical application of knowledge.

Not only is she amazing with her students, she brings a lot of ideas to share with her colleagues to enhance teaching across the school.  She has been one of the leading promoters of Donor's Choose to support her teaching colleagues throughout the county.  Through Donor's Choose, she has raised over $300,000 for Curtis Creek to purchase instructional supports for the classroom to enhance the learning environment.

Holly is dedicated to promoting excellence beyond the classroom by supporting and leading programs such as Gifted and Talented Education, Yearbook, Academic outcome data and analysis, and collaborating in the development of countywide report cards and countywide science curriculum.  Holly is very well respected by her students, parents and teachers, and so deserving of this recognition.  Congratulations Mrs. Azevedo!
