Ms. Sharon Johnson
Sharon Johnson joined Curtis Creek School District on July 1st, 2014. She brings over 24 years of educational experience to Curtis Creek. Ms. Johnson is returning to her home area as she grew up in Lodi, California.
For the past several years, she served as Coordinator of Student Achievement Programs and Director of Research & Evaluation with Santa Ana Unified School District. She has also served as the Administrator of the Reading/Language Arts Leadership Office, concurrently also as the California Reading First State Director, out of the California Department of Education (CDE).
Sharon Johnson’s school district experiences include serving as an elementary teacher, Assistant Principal at the Intermediate school level, Principal at a K-8 Community Day School, and ten years as Principal in a rural community north of Sacramento. Ms. Johnson has focused on school reform and raising student achievement in diverse settings. She has also worked to build collaborative environments within rural school districts, large urban districts, and the State level.
Ms. Johnson is thrilled to return to the area of her upbringing and now calls Sonora her home. She is looking forward to working with the students, parents, staff, and community at Curtis Creek.
